Vintage or antique lace shawl, possibly Irish crochet or another intricate form of needle lace. The detailed patterns and scalloped edges suggest a decorative garment. It’s expertly made and considered a type of bobbin Lace, with added touches to the lace and a slight ruffle attached. Length is 36" from the middle back collar to the edge of the tip of the tie. Open it up and it measures 72" long tip to tip. 31" across the back width (see photo with ruler). 14" the length of the back shawl center to bottom edge. It has no damage such as holes or breaks.A beautiful piece of history, perfect for collectors.
